Retail & Leisure Opportunities
Altrincham is a thriving town, offering high quality schools, and a vibrant lifestyle with an award-winning food and drink offering.
The next wave of Altrincham’s evolution is being led by Bruntwood and Trafford Borough Council who are investing 15m into the town centre and Stamford Quarter to deliver their ambitious vision for the town. Foundation is a key part of this vision.
Significant investment will reimagine a large swathe of Altrincham’s town centre to provide a multi-functional experiential centre comprising retail, leisure, office and residential spaces, creating a dynamic town centre hub.
But times have changed. Stamford Square needs a place designed for a new way of working, where work and lifestyle thrive.
This is a rebirth — the first time Bruntwood Works bring a regional Pioneer building to a town centre — part of our vision for buildings that are the future of workspace design and innovation. As master reinventors, we are reinvesting in the building rather than knocking it down.
Our repurposing and re-envisioning of a local landmark bring together its history with the future through a series of workspaces with outdoor terraces, supported by an evolving hub of retail, leisure, and community uses. A complete ground-floor redesign provides shops and hospitality that spills out onto Stamford Square, creating a unique arrival experience. It’s a place where people can meet, eat, drink, and immerse themselves in a range of arts, cultural and wellbeing events.
This is a sustainable space that supports the wellbeing of our customers and the local community, encouraging more people to come into the town centre, helping to support the long-term, sustainable growth of the local economy.
A landmark gateway between Altrincham and beyond, it is located directly opposite the town’s transport interchange and right in the heart of Bruntwood Works’ commercial offering, which includes Station House and the old Debenhams building.
Proud, independent of spirit, and always fiercely local, this is the old Rackhams building reborn, reimagined, and reconnecting our town
